Chaos Academy unveils a new Online Store.

I have just finished very personal project over at Chaos Academy which is now ready for launch so it seems appropriate to announce the store here on my SG site since it's music related, and hosts some fucked up content.
The new store is called EnTrance. The structure of the store may seem a little different than what youre used to in downloading music and videos, but the pricing and nav should feel familiar to you. EnTrance has the same basic setup and pricing as all of the major online music stores. The content of the EnTrance store will reflect my personal commitment to the level of quality in music and movies by offering high quality content such as music for $0.99.
Besides music, the store also features high quality music videos, short movies, for $1.99. With the new Video iPod, you can sync the music videos and movies, in MOV, MPEG and MP4 format, to watch on the go. Just browse and buy from the EnTrance Store. Then connect your new iPod and let iTunes Auto-Sync do the rest. All your videos and video playlists sync automatically, so you can watch them on the iPods brilliant, 2.5-inch color screen anytime, anywhere.
Our goals are simple. The first goal is to provide a higher quality of media. Unlike the top stores, such as iTunes, Napster or Rhapsody, who provide songs at 128Kbps, EnTrance provides songs at 160Kbps for singles, and for full CDs, 320Kbps. 320kbps is CD quality.
Thats right. CD quality album downloads. This has never before been done in the bandwidth music market.
Secondly our goal is to provide the artist with the opportunity to make back an honest profit. All too often we hear how hard it is to survive as an artist. How as a musician signed to a major record company only a very small part of the profit from a single CD goes to the artist. Every sale of every song, music video, short movie, on the EnTrance Media Store is geared to give back as much as possible to the artist. For example; the artist makes back just a little under 50% for every single song sold, and more than 50% for every multiple songs, full CD, music video, or short movie. I share this basic information with you to illustrate the importance of what I am tying to do.
As of writing this the only media available is for Personal Computers and MP3 Players. Yet the future holds an ongoing research into bringing the content to cell phones and many other portable media players such as the PSP.
EnTrance launches with a small, but strong line up of never before available bandwidth content. A short list includes the incredible side project by Velvet Acid Christ (Metropolis Records) called Toxic Coma, Lindsay Fergusons debut CD, Kruger, Hip Hop new comer Lukeys self titled EP, PaLE.ads long awaited CD, Cutting Teeth, and rounding up the launch with 3 short films by acclaimed Fluke Films and director Adrian Langley called Spank, Nightmare, and Slasher Film.
EnTrance is not leading a revolution, nor is EnTrance jumping on the New Media band wagon.
EnTrance exists solely to provide high quality media while working closely with the artists themselves. EnTrance is a store built on the pure and simple belief that great sounding music and clear crisp video is not a thing of the future.
