Lahaina is almost entirely destroyed. The great Banyan Tree is charred and black, but might still survive. The fires grow ever closer to Makawao and Kihei. Much of my childhood has gone up in flames, or seems about to.

@jadestone and @headshot , for obvious reasons, they generally aren't SUPPOSED to do that. Going to have to unplug it and put a "Do NOT use" sign on it now. My skin still feels tingly, and the joints in my wrist a tiny bit achy, so it definitely is a hazard until it gets fixed or replaced

Been reading some of the more ancient blog posts of mine recently, those from the Dinosaur Times of my existence here (many even from before the Great Comet hit and the site began anew), and all I can say is... yeesh...
I certainly miss having that guy's looks, body, and hope for a brighter future, but be that guy again I would not.
