so, what's everyone doing for halloween?! i'm heading to syracuse for the weekend to dress up and go bar hopping with my old high school friends who i just found and started hanging out with again after 5 years. should be good times. plus, i think i'm going to try and hook up with one of them... since i think 5 years is a long enough time of not seeing someone to try going for being more than friends... lol.
other than that i haven't been up to much. vlounteering at the canine rescue and doing things around the cottage seem to take up most of my time. i did get the fireplace all set and ready to go. i've had fires in their the last 2 nights... it's pretty nice. although i do have to watch cuz when the fire starts to die down and get a bit more smokey the smoke can come into the house a bit, but other than that's it's cool. oh and it turns out i didn't need to clean the chimney anymore than vaccuum off the smoke shelf because the lady who owned this place last spent a bunch of money having a new stell chimney liner and guard put in... and then never used it. so it's all new and clean... good deal!
oh, darby update: i've taught her how to fetch now... so now she knows sit, stay, come, fetch, off and crate... she's a super smart dog! what should i teach her next?

as for Halloween, I get to work. even on Halloween day. yeah, it sucks. but its what I gotta do to pay the bills!
hmmm...next trick? shake? lay down? get my slippers and the paper? make coffee? just some thoughts!
