OK, So, do you want the bad news or the good news?
I'll assume you said bad first... cuz everyone likes to end on a happy note... after all it is the nature of the beast. So here goes:
Bad News: The landlord (have I mentiond he's a prick? :mad
found out we have 3 cats... which just happens to be 2 over the limit we are allowed.
So he wants 2 of them gone by Monday... we are taking Catch and Maus to Kim's mother's out in Rhode Island this weekend where they will stay until we find living accomodations that will allow us to have all 3 of them again. This search will begin immediately, but will not be able to go into effect quite as quickly as we'd like.
We cried for a good hour yesterday because now we will miss watching Maus grow up... I HATE our landlord.
Now, the happy part of the story.
Good News: I went for an interview today at Schwan's (you know the frozen food delivery guys with the push pops?). The manager is about 29 and thought I was natural salesperson. He's sending in my application and is very hopeful that I will get accepted. I went for the interview at 11:30 and after filling out the application (20 minutes) he and I sat and talked until 1:30.
The nice thing about this job is there are no cubicles... I get to drive around all day in an air conditioned delivery truck convincing people to buy Schwan's products. The other big plus is pay starts at 35K/year... and then I can be switched to commission if I do well enough and be making even more than that in a fairly short period of time. The only down side is that it is 12 hour days, 5 days a week... but even that gets better... if my sales get good enough I can opt to work 4 days a week instead and if they get even better than that I can go as low as working 3 days a week.
If anyone can see a problem with this job, or knows someone who works for Schwan's and has horror stories please feel free to share... I don't like going into anything entirely blind... if you know what I mean. Course if I get this job then we will be making 15k/year more than we are now and can afford to get out of this apartment, rent a nice house, and get our kitties back! Haapy Day!
breakfast bite: did you know that Schwan's owns as many as 80 companies? Odds are you eat a Schwan's product and don't even know it. Like Tony's frozen pizza and Sara Lee vegetables.
