Work tonight sucked. My first night back and we had to work short staffed, so that left me with 25 residents to take care of. Plus we had a mandatory meeting.
In this meeting we found out that LPN's my not be needed any more. They will be hiring med aides. So now you will have the charge nurse, RN, med aide and the aides on the floor. Kind of screws me considering I was going to start school to get my LPN. So I am now thinking about taking the school to just be the med aide (more or less LPN with less pay) and go get my RN.
Also on my return they have fired several aides and hired new ones for less pay. Have to love the working world.

i plan to go for RN myself. i'm taking the prequisites right now.... well a few of them.
