Interesting question.
I haven't dated all that much and my longest relationship so far is current and we have a ton in common.

Fish are ok. I really like saltwater fishies like puffer fish. Those things are fucking awesome. My cousin has 3 different HUGE saltwater tanks (they never plan on moving I suppose) and they are just fantastic mini worlds.

My fish are dumb in comparison

I have realized I hate fish. One fish is fine, but more than that in a small space and you are just asking fo trouble. They are mean little suckers and I think they make themselves sick. Maybe it's just that I have neglected foster fish that I take care of but don't really care about. They feel the neglect of love or something....

Like Switch Into Glide, You Take My Breath Away (I had such a huge crush on that guy!! He was in a TV movie), Love Is The Drug, Sara Smile, Love Hurts, Hey Bartender, Love Can Build A Bridge & Put On A Happy Face. I have the Bye-Bye Birdie soundtrack (swiped off the library copy I borrowed). My mom has it on vinyl & I grew up listening to it. Amazing!!!

I'm reaching the end of posting in all of my friends journals and I think I have like 100 i'm going on like 2 hours... it's crazy I only do it once in a blue moon. generally I just respond to people who write in my journal

I think there is some serious truth in that debate about having soley platonic relationships between the sexes (unless of course you're related, they are like a brother/sister to you, or they are gay!). But then I think that every guy who shows interest in me wants to do me, or at least has considered it at one time, so I'm a little biased! It's ironic because I have a lot of male friends. They usually start out as someone who is romantically/sexually interested in me & then decide that they'll stick around & get to know me after they realize I'm not interested in that way...

I haven't kept in touch with many of my exes. Ever.

Sorry to hear about your Aunt & Uncle. That's never an easy thing to deal with.

As far as just letting my life waste away while I work, I won't settle for that kind of life!! I've been doing that for the past few years. It's given me a steady basis to let me pursue other interests outside of work though. Kind of a catch-22. Sure, it pays my bills & even gives me enough $ to take fun classes in art & dancing. But it's not how I want to spend my time!

As for 'friends' of opposite sexes...In My Opinion, your cousin is correct. In my experience, I have always either liked my op.sex friend or they liked me. (even if it was only a tiny bit.) EVEN if they were gay. Life is funny.
