Went to a movie tonight that put a really sadden spin on my day....The movie was Shall We Dance. I must say it was very good and it moved me in ways i had once thought i couldnt be moved again.
Funny how things honestly change over the years and even tho these things happen years ago its still fresh when something reminds you of what you felt at the time. Once opon a time my Aunt Kathryn enrolled me into ballet, tap and jazz dance classes....these lasted for a short time do to me not wanting to follow the instructors orders and wanting to dance my own way. My Aunt told me that one of these days i could be a great dancer if i kept my mind set to it....so i did, in middle school (junior high) i did Ballroom classes for a three whole days because the other kids lost interest...i loved it, the way they move together made me feel so much energy inside. I started dancing on my own away from people afraid of what they might say....I also tried out for the Cheer and Dance team but was not picked for the cut cus i couldnt do flips....whats the point of flips anyways!!! It crushed me in ways i dont think i could quite explain, my aunt told me to try again i told her there was no use...i wasnt part of there "people" so i would never get chosen.
I began dancing like the dancers on TV....and it was insane i felt so happy just danceing let everything out and not having to say one word to anyone they could all tell. Late in 97 around christmas time my aunt passed away and sadly enough so did my love for ballroom dancing and just dancing in general. So after seeing that movie tonight all this came flooding back to me so hard that i cried.....what can i say i miss it to death and what hurts most is ive never had a partner to dance with.....i guess sometimes things arent meant to be...i know the passion is still there but im not sure if im able to do it still. O well....How was your day?

Shit, woman, I'm old enough to be your grandmomma! Well, ok, maybe like your older sibling. Pay no attention to the crazy irish girl wound up on cake.
