And then she told me she has been on the site since 2004 and that she 's sure the website showcases mostly pornographic content...

So...was SG pornographical at some point or is she mistaken? :o

Some people like to start shit, even if it's completely talking out of their ass (and has no basis whatsoever in reality).  I've unfortunately known quite of few of them.

Pornography is about depiction of sexual acts. SG strictly prohibits that. In 2005, when I first joined SG (Yeah, I'm old) it was more oriented toward gothic photography. So, nowadays, it's really soft compared to before.

A lot of it is taxes and duties @gravling in order to discourage cross-border shopping. A lot of companies charge higher shipping between the US and Canada to cover any fees that might spring up. The truth is it's better to actually cross the border and buy something and bring it back instead of having it shipped because if you get a border guard who doesn't care you can skip out of paying duties.
