Las Vegas is long gone, Mardi Gras in New Orleans has just passed, and here I find myself in Arizona, immersing myself in the culture of the great American Southwest (that, and visitng my folks out here).

I have seen little of Oceanside in the past month, which is a good thing, let me tell you. NEVER MOVE THERE, PEOPLE. It's boring suburbia. And not in the "it's so uncool it's actually cool" way.

So I am so sick of it and so ready for grad school that I am moving to Baton Rouge at the end of March. My visit there to the great state of Louisiana and to LSU has clinched it for me. Call me Cajun, cuz I'm gonna wrastle 'gators! ... actually I am going to go to school to be a librarian, but close enough.

I'll miss LA, the wonderful people I've met, and the fantastic weather. But I'm looking forward to the future. After grad school, I'm really thinking of trying Europe for awhile... time will tell.
