So I guess I'm going to have re-cert my crap before the end of the year so it's cheaper. Arrggh. I fucking hate Cisco. One because their certs are short lived and pointless sometimes. **Example: after 3 years of having a CCNA I have to re-up basicly. Not because they've realy changed the principles of the cert, and not because there is a wealth of new shit to test on....just because** Two, because the few things that they HAVE changed, are only changed by definition. If you know what I'm talking about, then you know what I'm complaining about.
Ranting further on cert's....I'm fucking sick of people getting jobs and poor merits. I refuse to hire ANYONE who comes to me with a resume that says A+, or rather, ANYTHING that has a plus next to it (network+...etc). I say this to whomever is trying to "get in" to computers, and I don't say it to be a dick....If you don't fucking understand what you're doing, don't fucking bother. Some people can learn how to do certain things, but it seems with computers, you can't get a classroom education education and expect to be good at the job. Obviously not true in all cases, but I'm just saying that to say it and be polite.
On that note, I'm prolly going to get a CISSp cert because it's easy and HR people think it's a big deal even though it doesn't really mean a damn thing. Anyone who has a Cisco or Xtera cert can pass a CISSP without a whole lot of work. It's basicly a security exam. A lot of concepts and precautions, but it's actually just stuff most people would never have to deal with unless they really wanted to.
The lady just left for the city a little bit ago, I'm tired and I'm going to zonk out to Monk, Law & Order + Future Tactis on Gamecube.

I'm not in the computer biz, but am also very picky about resumes and hiring. I don't even call people who don't list all of the qualifications I've asked for. I'm constantly suprised at the crap I recieve from people looking for a "professional" job. How do some of these people make a living???
