i hear you on the lack of money deal. i have waaaaaay too many bills. not like little $50 bills. Like $400 and $200 bills. It's quite stressing to constantly have these things arrive in your mail knowing whats in the bank account.

the thought of driving far, far away sounds really good right now. a SG road trip even better.

i actually think i'm gonna do the smart and responsible (YUCK!) thing and stick around here this summer as well. ditto on taking frequent trips into NY. i love that city.

In about two weeks Should have a BS in Biomedical Engineering with two minors (Mathematics and Biology). I am mostly still a student and plan to go onto get my MS in Biomed. I assist a prof. with the mechanical design for his research tools (robots parts and equipment stands).

If you want to go back to school give it a try, you don't owe anyone an appology and I am sure you have learned a lot about the 'real world' that many schoolies don't get until after the degree has gone to their head. My dad did about the same thing as you and he still doesn't have a degree but he has been working at engineer status for years. He's well respected and he schools new eng degree holders regularly. Don't assume that college degrees can be equated with intelligence across the board. There are many people who barely make it out with a degree and probably shouldn't have. On the other end of the spectrum there are people who a straight up guiness and can't deal with the constraints of the school system so never finish. In the end its just a piece of paper.

i can kind of relate. i was going to "real" college, but things in my life kinda got crappy and i dropped out the beginning of my senior year. if i could somehow get my life back in some sort of order, perhaps i'll go back and finish up the year, just to have that stupid BA in psychology. well, it's not really stupid... but i'm bitter.

however, it's not like you slacked off after high school. going into the military is admirable.

so.. well what do i have? nothing as far as degree go. shame on me!

what do i do for a living? band publicity... not as in street teams, but i do actual PR work for bands and record labels (indie labels i should add. not anything fancy like Columbia or Interscope or whatever). i'm all up in the music scene
