Maybe I just need a blog.

Or less Friday nights spent online.

I met an interesting person downtown yesterday. He had purple hair, but that's not what stood out. It was hot (desert climate and all that) and he was wearing a jacket. I was in work uniform still (shorts that are way too small and a tank top with a full lace back) and comfortably warm. But there he sat in his jacket and jeans, drinking his iced coffee and smoking an endless number of cigarettes. He was occupied with a tablet of paper. He appeared to be writing something and I became consumed with curiosity. What could this purple haired, jacket wearing man be writing?

In all honesty, I wish I wouldn't have asked.

I had created such a romanticized idea of this fellow. To me, he was writing an inspired piece on global economics. Or a social critique that would make Swift proud. A paper full of haikus that spoke about the beauty of the weather.

He was really just doodling. And turned out to be a boring conversationalist.

I was disappointed, I guess. I wanted something more stimulating.
