When I was growing up I would devour books. I loved the thought of being able to lead so many different lives, and have so many different perspectives and experiences, vicariously through the pages of a good novel. Somewhere along the line I lost my love for reading. Maybe it was the hustle and bustle of being and adult, maybe was the guilt of having leisure time that couldn’t be monetized, maybe it was the pressure to read serious, dense, ‘important’ literature… but somehow or other I stopped reading anything longer than a news article. In the last couple of months, however, that has changed. Mostly thanks to the influence of social media I’ve picked up a couple dark romances and now (5?6? Books later) have entered the world of Sarah J Maas and romantacy and I’m having an absolute blast.

Anyway this is a very long winded way of saying that if you need me I’ll be reading about horny fairies trying to save the world as they know it. Real high stakes stuff here. 😜
