Hello SG world! This is SG me saying hello to SG you <3 I hope you had a good day and are at the beginning of a good evening.
Guess what I found!! The world's smallest roach! it wasn't too much but i don't smoke a lot anymore and it was the perfect little hit that got me nice and stoned and ready to curl up on my couch with a bowl of warm veggie soup and some toast and watch some mindless television.
So my parents recently informed me that there is no possible way for them to afford me to live on campus out here in SD and that they need me to find a full time job, and an apartment off campus, and to start paying my own rent. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if I had any money in my bank account to get started or if the money I had in my bank account wasn't going to be absorbed into the school by the end of this month. By the end of this month/quarter I will have absolutely no money, thus finding an apartment is out of the question so I've decided that it is in my best interest to take the rest of the year off to work. My best friend's family had a cabin up in Big Bear that they will rent out to us for a couple hundred dollars a month, just enough to pay for utilities not for rent, so we can stay there and work during the tourist season or longer if we find jobs that aren't seasonal. I've also applied to work for a traveling carnival that runs from feb-august making stops throughout california which I would really REALLY love to do (cross your fingers that they call me!). I will also be applying to UCR to attend classes next fall because the cost of living is just too steep out here and for what I would be paying here for a small apartment I could be paying there for a small house where I can plant a garden and raise a kitten and feel more grounded overall. It should be quite the adventure and really, when again in my life will I ever be able to drop everything and join a carnival? or live someplace I've never lived for a few months? I will be making my journey up the mountain on the 14th of december. wish me luck!
