RANDOM WRITING!
The wallet unfolds with a flick of practiced hands. The material is battle worn and sweat soaked, starting to turn black around the edges. The wallet has seen a few fights, but mostly good times, and carries all the most important data. It contains other things too years of memories, and hopes for the future.
Some guys carry condoms around in their wallet, hoping that they will come in handy. These little lost latex protectors that so often die before they can be used are a terrible waste. There is no rolled jimmy hat to be found in the sandwiched sides of this wallet. Besides guys that need a condom to have safe fun arent very original. These pour guys that have no creativity. Which to feel sorry for the condom or the guy?
Hunter green canvas held together with fraying black Velcro, containing cheap plastic inserts that are all sticky from the summer heat and hasty repairs. The change pocket bulges with spare change, all zippered together in a tight lump, making the wallet an oddly shaped bundle in the pocket.
But in the back, with what little cash is there, is hope for the future. Three movie tickets, given as a present, saved in pristine condition for fear that they could become void. They sit back there waiting, hoping, not unlike a condom, for a reason to be used. Still incased in a ratty envelope they first came in, with a little Santa sticker on one side and the words Merry Christmas! hand written on the other. They stay safe and protected, missing their former forth companion that was spent to fight off a night alone.
For some reason, some magic how, these tickets have come to represent hope. Someday they will be used to take someone out for a night. Someday they will be used by a couple, as was their original purpose. They saw the very end of that relationship, when they should have been used to treat a girlfriend. Now they sit and cower in fear of being spent one at a time, till only one is left. And then what, what can one lonely little movie ticket do?
