First bath post surgery. More than mildly upset at the answers I received today.

Test running proportions for a new bathbomb style. I am now glitter

And adding to my masks that I wear when not at work.

@cadavre it's better in green, but I knew you'd get the picture, lol. Wait, you're glitter? Dang, nothing like an intelligent, talented glittery beauty.

Love the mask... hope the answers get better soon!

Hey guys

I promise I'm still around here kicking (metaphorically not physically) but there have been some mild complications with pain levels since surgery and my dad came out for Father's day (we went to the memorial for the woman and her father who started father's day here in Spokane 110 years ago!)

Trying to get stuff sorted out but I havent been in the...

Watch out world I'm out and about! After my false start back to work monday, at my 2 week post op appointment on wednesday I was given a lit of freedom from nuisances. First, they removed my little stitches and said I could go back to taking baths! Second they told me to fully ditch the compression thigh thighs I'd been having to wear. I...

Not really...going crazy maybe

Tending to this awful blister that came about from surgical dressings

And look the surgeon avoided my tattoos. My thigh DOES feel like I sat for an 8 hour tattoo session just from the muscle bruising (I'm comparing to getting the garter on the other side)

And sitting with the cat and building legos (did I mention I bought $500 worth

@big_n3rd the stuff outside of the bandage is literally just damage done by the surgical dressings. I think I get my stitches out wednesday!

Trying this recovery thing out. In a CPM machine for 6 hours a day, tired. Havent looked at the incisions yet but know they're close to the Nail Bunny tattoo.

Have a lot of school work to do....wonder how I'll do on painkiller. Just want to get up and do shit.

@cadavre do your instructors know about your surgery? When I had a procedure they worked with me...
cadavre:
@big_n3rd they do and mostly just said "you can work ahead before surgery".  I got pretty well worked ahead and I think I'm on track, giving myself little moments to work on chunks between naps

Less than an hour in the actual O.R

Settled into recovery at home

@big_n3rd that sounds pretty great but I think I'm gonna need bucketloads of gelato from the french bakery

Sending you lots of positive vibes! I'm sure your surgery will go just fine, you are in excellent hands with very competent doctors! Take a few deep breath and the anxiety will ease. Nice that your parents will be there when you recover the first few days. I had a little oral surgery last Friday. It was tougher than expected. My doctor said that "I brought here a good one". She even asked if I want to take a break. I signaled to get it done as fast as she can. Afterwards I was thinking may she needed a break. Oh well. For the first time I felt I needed to lay down after a procedure, I was exhausted. Wish you all the best, good success and those Legos sound awesome! Recover quickly, so you can build them soon!
