MY ASS IS SORE
and so are my legs....but it is so worth it!
I've been begging and pushing Corey to be spontaneous and romantic (and not just because V-Day is coming up). Well, through the course of Saturday, he was texting my dear friend Mel, plotting. We also bought $70 worth of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein paintings from a local shop (by my favorite cupcake/coffee shop) that houses adorable crafts and art from local artists. We also worked Saturday night, where Corey continued plotting.
Sunday morning, he woke me up, rushed me to get dressed, took me out for coffee, and then we came back and plopped on the couch, and watched part of a Batman movie. Jack Nicholson as the Joker scares me....After about 20 minutes, he got ansty enough to hurry me to the car and tell me to put on a blindfold. I was so half asleep and confused that I obliged. He drove us (in his dad's Silverado, not his Dakota or my stupid car) to what ended up being Mel's house, where we picked her and her boyfriend up. Corey took some weird turns on the freeway, trying to keep me distracted, and honestly just getting lost. I was still absolutely confused, until we got close to Ft Lewis and he started saying " Oh Krispy Kreme, I should have stopped, donuts sound good. Hey Mel, Kenny, do you know anywhere else we could get good donuts?" It hit me then..that they were stealing me away to Portland. HOW AWESOME! I love Portland!
We got there about noon and left close to 6:30. We parked by the Chinese Gardens and walked the entire day.
PHOTO DUMP! All are random things we saw wandering the streets.

We ate a late lunch at The Roxy, after venturing through Powell's and a few random stores

Jesus hung over the juke box, which happens to have Combichrist, Suicide Commando and a whole unique mix of music, which we played, and listened to our waiter sing to Prince

Mel got a tuna melt called the Quentin Taratuna melt, and we just loved how it appeared on the receipt
Our last stop in the city was Voodoo Donuts and I finally got the damn Voodoo doll

We were thinking about going to The Lucky Lady (which I know is where Casper dances, but she wasn't dancing til like 9, and thinking back, I wonder if it would be creepy if I watched a girl I admire so much dance) and we had to get home and had spent way too much money already....
Well, we made it home, with a pack of Pixie sticks and way too much caffeine, with a bag of HR Giger art and a Hellraiser comic (okay...so just 2 books doesn't really equal a bag of...)
I've spent most of today on the couch, resting my legs. And it's raining, so I'm dreading walking the dog.
Dinner with BAPB got rescheduled to this Thursday, and I'm making dessert. We're planning more sets, plus it's just fun to hang out with him and I can't wait to taste his cooking!
Friday we're going to see The Enigma at Diamond Tattoo.
I really want to say thank you to all of my amazing friends on here: Hexxus, Witchartist, RemoD66, Suispud1, NerdMachine, Violentpatriot, and so many others that sent me encouraging messages, have been here and supported me and become like family to me. I love you guys!
