So going back and watching the TV shows I grew up on. I think my basis for a healthy relationship was based on Riker and Troi from Star Trek: Next Gen,



and Duncan MacLeod and Amanda from Highlander.



Sure they care lots about each other, but that doesn't limit their options either.
