Just an update. It's a short one at that, because there's really nothing going on in my little corner of the internet at this point. There are a few small tid bits, but that's it. Just work, then home, for the most part. I got a pretty decent schedule in the shift bid yesterday, so that's okay. I'm praying for the opportunity to work overtime soon. My fingers are crossed on that one, because I basically need to sell my soul to the company I work for at this point to get everything caught up, but it's getting there! Yay! The jeepie is fixed and running well. I don't get to spend time with my honey until next week, sigh, but for the best, because I want to do house work this weekend!! Like, full on scrubbing and dusting and all that happy stuff. It's almost the end of the season... almost... but I'm biding my time until the snow flies... of course I'm looking forward to fall, it's my favorite season... but I'm also looking forward to snowboarding!!!!! Wooooooooo!!!! I've got the itch, and I can't wait to dust off my board. Hopefully I won't hurt myself too badly this year. Lol. I haven't had a chance to go in over two years now, just because of moving and lack of funding... and last year because people kept bailing on me last year. However, last time i went out, the first day I did, I put myself out for the rest of the season. I pulled the ligaments in both of my knees on the same run... which is my fault, it only would have been one knee, but I'm stubborn, and thought ''oh, i've had worse wrecks mountainboarding, I can make it down the hill with one bum leg''.... heh... well, I made it down the hill, but royally boogered myself up. I was physically hurt, but my pride was intact since i didn't call ski patrol. Looking back, I still can't decide if it was worth it or not.
I say that, because I worked at the resort, and knew everyone on ski patrol. On that note, I reflect on the time I tried to drive the 'super focus' across one of the slopes. Yeah, that's right, I took the four banger onto one of the north face slopes. It made it half way across before it got stuck. Lol.
So, in other news, I make crosses. Yes, crosses. They are horse shoe nails and wire, and I make them into necklaces and sell them. So, new job means potential new clients. Hopefully. It's not a lot, but maybe I'll make enough to supplement my income. I got the idea from my former hypocritical, corrupt pseudo-christian employer that fucked me over. I thought it was too good to be true, and from my research, it probably is. The website is www.disciplescross.com . It seemed like a legit work from home opportunity. I have made some profit, but only from selling them myself, the buy back program they have going on has gotten MANY horrible reviews on the web. So....... I'm just trying to get rid of what I still have made so far. I might still try to send some in, though, we'll see.
HEY!!! HEY!!!! I need help on this... I paint. Professionally and for a hobby. However, there's no subcontracting work at this point... so, I have several paintings that I've done and would like to get prints made of them. Any suggestions? If you have any information, PLEAAAAAAAAAASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send it my way. I've been doing searches on the internet, and all I've come up with is if you send a photo to places, they'll print it on canvas so it looks like a painting. But i can't find anywhere to make prints from the paintings themselves. I have a decent photo printer, but I use gloss black paint most of the time, because it gives me better results. However, it makes the prints impossible to scan. I'm working on getting the lighting right to take photos of them and upload them and print them out, but it's challenging. I don't have a superb digital camera, and in order to get the right effect, I have to turn the flash off, but it comes out blurry because I can't hold it still. I also do not have a tripod. But I'd really like to get professional prints done of them instead of half-assed ones from my printer. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, this turned into a longer update than anticipated, but it works. Lol. Oh, in other news, my hopefuls set is getting pushed back to September. Blah. Not fun. But, I would rather wait and have everything in order to shoot it, than do it and have it turn out like crap. Understandable, right? I didn't get any responses in another blog regarding anyone's opinion on if I should have a set ready when I apply... I think I will wait to apply until I do have a set, though. Just my opinion. Feel free to comment or email me with any suggestions.
