hello, hello! well, great news! so, a little insight into my life first.... things at this point are kind of rough, and i always try to keep a positive attitude, because life is too short to be miserable... and even though i should not be splurging, i did something that would be positive, i got my large tattoo started today!!! YAY!!!
the design itself is rather simple, it's stars and water. two things that have always been important to me for sentimental reasons... all through my years growing up in Ohiopyle, my group of friends and i would always look at stars. that was our thing. as the years passed and we went our separate ways, if one of us called and needed to talk, we would go look at stars, it's just what we did. the water, i grew up right across the street from the Yough river, literally. water is my second home, and it has always been a big part of my life. so, i combined two things that reminded me of all of the special memories. so, no matter where i go in life, i will always have them with me.
so far, only the stars are outlined, a three and a half hour session for that. courtesy of bob seese of seese's tattoos. next appointment is in three weeks to start the shading. it's just what i needed to lift my spirits. i was going to touch up the blue in my hair, but i'm going to get it permanently straightened first. i have naturally curly hair that is INSANE... like, if i don't do anything with it, or load it with styling products, i look like i stuck a fork in an electrical outlet. so, to prevent too much damage, i'm going to have to wait four weeks to bleach and dye my hair after having it chemically straightened.
at some point, i'm thinking of applying to be a hopeful s.g.. at some point, i want to tone up first, for me. i used to be quite fit, and then i worked a tech support job for Apple, yeah, the mac computers and ipods, for two years, and my figure suffered. so, i'm joining a gym, and we'll go from there.
i'm just super excited about finally getting this tat started. once it's finished, i'll start on my sleeve that will go on my left arm. it is also very special to me, and i'll explain it in a later blog. until next time, smile!
