After 20+ years I have officially "retired" my bike helmet. This faithful brain-bucket saw me through multiple urban crash landings and two car-bike encounters of the close kind. Since my brain seems to be getting softer, I thought it was time for an upgrade.

Back in the days when I worked in the world of consumer electronics and hi-fi gear, there was a metric on the retail sales floor known as WAF or GAF. which are acronyms for Wife/girlfriend acceptance factor.
Let's just say the WAF on my hanging the helmet on the wall anywhere outside my shop or office is probably far into negative #s.
