I've started construction on my personal Ark. It has been raining pretty much non-stop, biblical proportions since Friday. More tonight- maybe several inches with a tropical system moving up and over from the Carolinas. It is pouring out right now. Should have walked the dog already. I guess it could be worse. The house could be in a 100 year flood plain and this is the 1 in a 100 years worth of rain....
Oh yea, and the AC decided to take a dive. Spare part is on the way, but in the meantime...
I'm acclimating to the heat and humidity in advance of the week long backpacking trip scheduled for mid-July in southern VA and wondering when the first real hurricane is going to emerge. Probably the week we are on the trail.
