Heard the Dalai Lama this afternoon at a public speech here in DC. What a gentle soul, in spite of all the hardship he and his country have endured. Would that I could ever be so humble and at peace. The rest of the weekend was spent in the woods...gorgeous...perfect camping weather.

Just as a mother would protect her only child at the risk of her own life, even so, cultivate a boundless heart towards all beings. Let your thoughts of boundless love pervade the whole world.
