In the end my birthday didn't end up sucking arse. Sherri and her family called me up and sang happy birhtday over the phone. My brother and his gf brought the kids and a cake, and I ended up watching a decent movie @ a friends house.

My parents are even doing slightly better. Things are still incredibly stressful, but we're making some headway.

Things have been really shitty lately...... really shitty. I'm back in Ontario to take care of my ailing parents. My poor mother has already been in the hospital for 9 weeks now and god only knows how much longer she'll be in there. My dad's health is progressively getting worse as well.
