NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY! NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY!! NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY!!!
--Adam Sandler as the title character from that comedy classic, Billy Madison
Really excited. I went to two of my favorite antique stores in the city and bought four vintage Playboys from the 1960s for just $20. You can't even get four current Playboys for that price! Plus, these are real women! Not overly airbrushed, enhanced, and sucked out Barbie dolls!
Had an unusually busy last couple days. Replaced a toilet seat for the whiny, spoiled little shits I call my tenants last Thursday. I coulda gone my entire life without doing that. On top of that, the kitchen is fucking disgusting. These kids are so not getting their whole security deposit back when I move back into that place. Before that, though, I had lunch with my favorite tattooed pregnant lady before taking a walk through Lincoln Square with her. I love her. She's loud, has sleeves, and can knock people over with her belly! Friday I went to a friend's show in Logan Square before going to a dance party at The Hideout, which was surprisingly one of the better nights I've had since moving back. Went for a run Saturday afternoon to psych myself up for a night of Halloween craziness! The Lumpen/Boo Haus-thing, The Mopery in Logan Square, then a Bobby Conn show in Lincoln Park of all places...none of which I decided to go to. I don't know if this is a sign of age, but instead, I just decided to chill at a friend's place and watch a couple horror movies and I gotta say, I don't think that Child's Play really holds up that well over time. Nope, indeedy.
Heading to the west coast this Friday for a wedding and I could not be more excited. I'm all over any occasion that has dj's, an open bar, and that's an excuse to wear a blazer. One of my best friend's is a Maid of Honor and she just informed me that I'm going to be seated with two of my favorite Bay Area folks, so now I'm doubly excited.
Okay, now I'm just babbling, but I will leave you with this:
