My favorite scene from one of my favorite movies:

Oh, how I wish I didn't relate to Patrick Fugitt's character so. Ironically enough, I got reminded of this little scene by an ex who called today.

NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY! NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY!! NUDIE MAGAZINE DAY!!!

--Adam Sandler as the title character from that comedy classic, Billy Madison

Really excited. I went to two of my favorite antique stores in the city and bought four vintage Playboys from the 1960s for just $20. You can't even get four current Playboys for that price! Plus, these are real women! Not overly airbrushed, enhanced,...

It's weird, I'm really beginning to miss San Francisco in ways that have absolutely nothing to do with my general discontent with Chicago, lately. I miss happy hour drinks in the Mission. I miss happy hour drinks in Haight/Ashbury. I miss killing hours at a time people watching with some really good friends in Dolores Park on a Saturday afternoon then moving on to the...

One of the only girls I kissed the entire eight months I was in San Francisco put this on a mix CD she made for me for the long drive back:

It was a tie between this and Camera Obscura's "Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken" (another song kiss-girl contributed) for most newly played track on my ipod for those four days or so, but...

I've got too much to do and I don't even have a full-time job. I've got to study for the GRE, finish applying to grad school, do some album reviews that I'm already a couple days late on, start exercising again, and lastly FIND a full-time job.

haha. sounds like you have, and your dream girl, sounds great. sounds like in all honesty, that it doesn't matter what she looks like, as long as you find her attractive and her personality compliments yours.

and btw. deleting her from your facebook does not mean that you give a shit, it means that you're trying to move on and having her on there doesn't help. so delete her. not like you talk to her right? i mean, it's pretty much the same concept as cleaning out friends that you don't talk to or who aren't really friends.

Diablo Cody interviewing Jon Cryer on the original ending of Pretty In Pink:

You know, at times it feels like I'll never get out of the shadow of Ducky Dale, whom many of my friends have often compared me to throughout my life. After this little video clip, however, I'm suddenly thinking that's not such a bad thing, after all.

"...I'm gonna meet a nice girl and have children, I promise the next time we talk I'll have it all figured out, okay?"

--Rob Gordon (Lydon), High Fidelity

The above is going to be my standard response to any time my mom gives me shit about anything from here on in.

Okay, not to get all PC, here, but I went to see Breakfast At Tiffany's today at a local theater and as great as it was to see it up on the big screen (and it was), it still pisses me off that people were laughing at Mickey Rooney in yellow face.
