So far, every week I've tried to take public transit to work some challenge has presented itself that forced me to park the bike and keep getting rides until next week. This week has been no different but this time the challenge is easier to overcome. The cold has been absolutely BRUTAL here in San Jose, CA (27-29 degrees F at 6:00 am when I get off work) and just about took me out of the game again. So I went out, got me a pair of leggings and knit gloves which I will wear under my pants and mechanic's gloves respectively. Hopefully those combined with a thicker sweater will keep the wind chill at bay tomorrow morning when I ride home. Keep your fingers crossed. Unless they're too cold then don't cause they might break off like that guy's toe in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

Its to raise some spirits of those who are sick in hospitals around the country that me be recovering or possibly terminally ill. Speaking of art I have to get working on yet another comic project. This time its for a local publication called BAAU Down 13. I was in the book last year and was invited back this year but so far I have nothing. I had a couple of ideas but they aren't panning out so well so I need to come up with something new. Its not easy for me to write for a teen/tween audience since my stuff is usually mature rated as you can see here and here. But with any luck over the next couple of days I'll be able to think of something short, fun and easy to make because the deadline is March. The book will be on sale at Fanime here in San Jose, CA next Memorial Day weekend so if you're in the area or just a con whore who is willing to travel then come by the BAAU table at artist's alley and pick up a copy.
