Since when does a guy volunteer to do 2 and a half hours of clothes shoppping with his wife?
Today. Tomorrow Satan's ice hockey team enters the NHL draft.
It's kind of a funny story actually. I'll give you some background info first. Wyldesage went to Target the other day to spend a $50 gift card she got for her birthday. She only found a couple of things and left after nearly an hour very depressed and on the verge of tears. She wouldn't talk to me for over an hour because she was bothered by the fact that she couldn't find anything she liked. Fast forward to today and i see a Jenny Craig commercial that made me really angry. This lady in the commercial who was about the same size as Wyldesage before she lost her weight was saying that she used to brak down crying in dressing rooms. Her solution was to loose weight and spend lots of money doing it. I had other ideas.
Being the sort that I am I had to speak my mind about how crying about not fitting certain kinds of clothes is ridiculous. My lady love didn't agree with me and we ended up discussing the matter at high volume. She decided to take me clothes shopping to prove that it isn't as easy as I was trying to make it seem.
Guess what? After two and a half hours (including a stop for drinks) she found LOTS of clothes that she really liked and were really affordable. It took looking through more than ten stores and we didn't have money to buy anything but It was nice to see her get excited about what she did find. Lots of skirts, a few tops and even a couple pairs of shorts here and there. Most of the stuff we found was between $20-$30 and once we did the math we found she probably could have bought a whole new summer wardrobe for about $300 or even less. A second trip would need to be made for Winter stuff.
I win. Jenny Craig looses.
