Does anyone else remember how awesome The Matrix was before those shitty sequels came out?

Yes. The second was... okay. But I really hated the third, I can't lie. I just watch the first movie and then kind've pretend it ends there.

I know right! it was the same with Pirates of the Caribbean and countless others. The first rocked, the rest sucked. I think it goes beyond the sequel curse though; the big reason a lot of these movies fail in my eyes is because the new thing is "Epic". They try and make everything that way. Epic is cool but if a movie isn't lord of the rings, it should be subtle. Movie critics just don't get that. Tron was epic because of the subleties, Thor was good but had way to much obvious Epicallity They need to trust the audience a bit and let them figure out what is epic or not and why by themselves
