I am a smoker, and although I haven't been one for very long I know what I like about it. The fascination of inhaling a thick fog of smoke and watching it disperse as I exhale. I know that the nicotine tells my brain I want another cigarette but I as sit here and smoke, it is by far the former that tells my hand to reach for another. I also know that cigarettes are filled with carcinogens (just read the list of ingredients and it becomes obvious) so I opted for an alternative, The E-Cigarette. supposedly I could have the nicotine and the same look and feel of smoke without any harm. Sounded good to me, so I spent $40 bucks, got myself a starter kit, and this is what I think:
Ass! Nothing but a glorified inhaler that gives you nicotine instead of albuterol. Seriously, It even has the same aftertaste you get with an inhaler. The vapor is thin and unsatisfying which is my main gripe. The only thing the nicotine in it does is make me want a real cigarette. Bottom line: it doesn't feel like I am puffing on a cigarette, it feels like I'm making out with an inhaler.
I have only used it for 1 day so I'm not ready to give up the investment yet as the idea truly has many advantages: no smoking bans, no tar, no carcinogens, no ashing, no potential fires, and no nagging friends or family. So when I run out I will try a menthol cartridge and see if that helps. It is also worth noting that I got an off=brand which may be contributing to it's shittyness. I have seen reviews on youtube of people praising e-cigs, so I will try to find one that satisfies my allure for smoke. But until then, I will continue to turn my lungs into an ass highway.
If anyone has an opinion about these things or can point me to a group topic on SG discussing them I would be interested in reading it.

AND cigars are delicious. I like black and mild myself. But in general, yes, they are simply delicious
