Day 4, August 5, 2010.
Rebuilding means more than just relationships; rebuilding means re-establishing. It means establishing day to day things and traditions. This does not mean only the same old traditions but also includes new ones. The troubles of the past are behind me and I know the kind of hell that people can create for themselves because I did a real number on myself for a long time. I am always amazed at the human condition and the strength of the human spirit. I see it everywhere and haters and liars cannot compete with the joy and energy of those that choose to be a positive influence on others and the world. MY question and please feel free to answer it if you know the answer is, WHY? This is the one question that I can never even come close to answering nor can I now with a clear head and new clarity understand why there is such a movement against me and my efforts to live life. I would like an answer but do not expect one because I am sure that no answer exists.
In other news; my work schedule is now calm, and the school semester is complete so I can take some time to get organized and relax a bit before both work and school start up again. It will be like zero to sixty when that does happen and with this time of year always being a slower time for my work, I have learned to enjoy and not worry as much about the downturn in work. School will be all good for the fall semester, with two night and one day class it will be easy to maintain my work schedule. As you may have guessed my book has been a little left behind; however, I WILL MEET my August 31 (AAA-B-Day) deadline for my rough draft. Time is again on my side for the next little while. I have a vacation planned for the end of the month and hope to take off in the spur of the moment sooner, so the plan is to enjoy this slow down and also to get all the loose ends of the past tied up nice and tight. Paper work needs to be done and I want all accounting to be ready for my year end ahead of due date from now on. Stuff like that, and as we all know, these things do not take long at all, LOL LOL LOL LOL.
Confessional; Tonight, I drank a beer. It is my third beer in as many weeks. I went 2760 days without drinking and for good reason, but with the health benefits of small amounts of alcohol now well proven and well known, it is time for a beer or a glass of wine or a drink every few days. Plus I heard this crazy rumor the other day; apparently if you get a woman drunk, you have a better chance of .. you know.. wink.. wink. And I could use some.. you know.. wink.. wink.. LMAO LMAO. A drink with dinner or when I get a date will be a good thing, especially since there is no longer a good reason not to. A beer at home is one thing and there are only five people in the world that I would ever drink with so it will be a while before I am going to be drinking more than a single bevy at any one time.
The days are getting shorter and with each the year is passing by. Work, school and life really do not leave much time for the other things in life so we must make time for them and try ever day to equal out the playing field. Like the warrior who writes poetry and the monk who studies martial arts. The equaling of energy will make aid in the day to day struggles that we all encounter.
I moved, settled in, during a school semester. Work took off and school semesters overlapped. Now work is calming, school is on break and I have the time to really center myself and take steps that will re-establish a life that was interrupted. My wishes for the next few weeks are calmness and organization of all aspects of my life. This is all perfect timing and that in itself tells me that it is an opportunity to do what needs to be done. I hope that those who also wish to clear the air will meet me in the middle.
