It sucks that SG doesn't allow animated gifs in profiles. I don't understand why the limitation exists. Animated gifs can easily be embedded anywhere using the <img> tag. The only possible problems I see are:
1. SG tries to modify the file upon upload or
2. SG doesn't want to see animations in place of a static profile pic.
It sucks in any case.

Fuck! It took me at least a dozen tries to get the SG profile form to recognize my location. After selecting Canada from the drop down menu, the javascript kicked in and presented me with an input field labelled POST.
