I guess it's high time I updated. The problem is nothing is or has been going on. And besides, how much do you guys really want to hear about school or work? So...let the randomness commence.

1. Something weird happened yesterday. I found myself interested in physics class and actually listened.

2. I made african groundnut stew. Mmmmm so good. HolaGatita here is the recipe I promised you like two months ago.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

*This ingredient list is really long but it is worth it. If you can't get yucca you can substitite a turnip. I also like to double the yucca because I love it. I like to prep everything before i start. You can peel your squash if you want but I just use one with an edible outside so I don't have to.

1 small head of cauliflower, cut into large florets
4 tbs olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbs peeled and minced ginger
1/4 tsp hot red pepper flakes
1/2 lb. yucca, cut into large chunks
2 medium carrots, chopped into bite size chunks
1 celery stalk, cut into bite size pieces
2 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped
2 tbs shoyu
2 cups water
1 any size sweet potato, peeled and cut into bite size chunks
1 lb. kabocha, red kuri, delicata, or butternut squash, seeded and cut into bite size chunks
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter mixed with 1/2 cup of warm water
2 tbsp ginger juice
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
a generous pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 cup peanuts, roasted and chopped (for garnish if you want)

1. Preheat the oven to 375 F. Toss the cauliflower with 2 tbsp of the olive oil and a little salt. Roast in the oven for about 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes.

2. Heat the remaining olive oil in a large pot. Add onions and cook about 5-6 minutes. Add ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes and cook for another minute or so.

3. Add the yucca, carrots, celery, tomatoes, and shoyu and cook uncovered over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the water and bring to a boil, lower heat to medium and simmer, partially covered, for about 5 minutes. Add the squash and cook for 5 minutes more. Add the sweet potatoes and 1 tsp of salt and continue cooking for another 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

5. Stir in the roasted cauliflower and the peanut butter mixture and cook for a few minutes, stirring every so often. Once you add the peanut butter you have to be vigilant so nothing sticks to the bottom. Add the ginger juice and cilantro. Adjust salt to taste and add the pinch of cayenne. If it is too thick add a little water. Garnish if you want. Now eat it!! Yum!

3. Love her.

4. I find this both hilarious and disgusting.

5. The above picture reminded me...I once moved into an apartment and I was cleaning out the cabinet above the bathroom sink. I found a cache of clipped fingernails (real ones) in a neat and tidy little pile that someone had been saving. They were in the middle of the middle shelf as though they were on display.

6. Hahahaha. This was left as a comment on YouTube. How dumb.

Not much new has happened lately in my life---but I update, anyway, since so many people clamor to know what I have to say. Let this be a lesson for you!

Not in the least. It's outstanding to be able to wash my hair every day, and I had really grown disgusted with the type of attention they seemed to attract, as well as the ridiculous assumptions that came along with them. However, I'm not enjoying being just another white guy...I hear a lot more racist republican bullshit and the average ethnic person has more of what I can only describe as a wall of suspicion.
