Today I heard this:
First guy: "I smell like fried chicken."
Second guy: "Your momma smells like fried chicken!"
I laughed. It was great.

I'll tell.
But in my own time.
I have some worldly issues to discuss first!

1. I finally got myself a lovely pumpkin.
2. I start 3 (if one doesn't get cancelled) new classes on Wednesday because I am crazy. At least I don't have time to be lazy.
3. I made some delicious banana rum coconut cookies.
4. I still think about Leatherface in the shower.
5. What should I be for Halloween?

That's a mightily neighbourly sentiment, indeed. You win my "Anti-Afterbirth" Of the Day award!

No.
I have to record vocals for an EP I'm writing for Horrorbabbles.
That's right - 6 songs for one girl!
I said I'd do that in lieu of writing a letter.
It seemed easier at the time.....
But maybe we'll listen to Zen Arcade on the way up to Vermont tomorrow.

I love Risk.
We'll definitely get that!
There's a really similar and better game called "Diplomacy", which is essentially the same, but there's no dice and you can only capture other countries through secret negotiations....

That Bon Scott reference was a nod to you, you know....
Do I talk a lot?
I don't know.
Ask someone who knows me.
There are some around here.
I could see them going either way.
I think I careen between extremely laconic and tight-lipped, to embarrassingly (for others - I don't give a shit) willing to say anything that comes into my head.
I'm a terrible poker player, if that helps...

Oh Mi!! is that true about the trial and the kidney stone?
I will do that, its just why should I compromise myself to stop her copying me? she has apologised and it has been sorted as much as I can stand for the moment. I'm seeing her this week.
Did you know we joined SG in the same month of the same year... we'll be here a year in November.

I wonder if he is likely to notice? it just goes to show, hardly anyone reads that box thing. Its a bit pointless really.
If something happened to make you want to change your name, what would it be and what would you change your name to?
Just for fun so don't be all serious.

I'm not a violent person (not in practice, at least) but I really liked the name Anna Kalashnikova when I saw it in a book. It's a real name, in that it belongs to someone historically significant, but I'm not aware of the history.
I just think it's a powerful name is all.
I hope that wasn't too serious for you.

I just posted it to Michele too.
I use date sugar or Rapadura, but I think it tastes better with white or raw sugar if you don't have sugar issues.
Banana Bread
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup canola oil
5 ripe bananas, mashed (about 2 cups)
cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts or cup chocolate chips or both (optional)
Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, soda and salt together in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, beat sugar and oil together, then stir in the mashed bananas, water and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Mix with the dry ingredients and stir in walnuts and or chips. Spread into a greased 9-inch square pan (or you can make muffins) and bake for 45-50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
I just made a giant pot of soup yesterday, and I just put whatever vegetables I had in the house, plus some lentils and quinoa, and coconut milk and water, it was so good.
I read somewhere recently, and now I can't remember where, but it was a hot chocolate recipe that just called for heating up coconut milk and adding some cocoa powder and a little sweetener of your choice. I can't wait to try it, I haven't had hot chocolate in forever!!
