So I'm going to start posting here more often. It's my mid-year resolution! But I want to post stuff I wouldn't put in my articles for the site or in my regular blog (http://hardcorezen.blogspot.com).

So now that I'm a free man, girlfriend-wise, I've decided to start dating. Well, actually I have started. Sort of. I think. Anyway, I keep hearing about people hooking up thru SG. But I can't see how that would happen. This forum doesn't seem geared towards it. Anyone know?

Also, I'm trying to be true to my own views about people and suchlike. I want to always be honest with everyone. No games. No silliness. This is tricky. Maybe some would say that as a monk I'd be better off being celibate. But that ain't gonna work out for me. Nor did I take any such vows. They aren't required in Zen (or I'd never have gotten ordained, I can assure you).

Maybe I'll make this blog into a little journal of Buddhist dating or some such thing.

But for now, someone tell me how I can meet hotties on Suicide Girls! (I mean that somewhat facetiously, but still am interested to know)

You are a wonderful teacher/monk. You show us how it's done by just putting it out there as honestly as you can. That's what wowed me with your third book. As someone who has sat mostly alone zazen for 5 years and gotten wonderful things out of it, and having gained a little through age, I find that real good things can happen by just being as honest as you can and sincere too. So I think that's probably the best way to meet someone on this site. I think as men, we were not socialized to do this, to be as open in relationships as we can and trust in this. So it's really been kind of a whole new direction for me, I know. Zazen just knocked over so much of the head stuff that got in the way.
