I was gonna upload the mustache pic for plaingurl (and everyone else) to laugh at, but I couldn't make it work. Apparently SG doesn't like links to Yahoo Photo albums and I'm entirely too tired to dick around on the Net to find a more suitable solution. So, I just made it my new profile pic. I totally understand if the ladies on this list no longer want to sleep with me.
For those of you who don't know the story behind the 'stache: My girl dumped me hard and unexpectedly. I had grown a full-mountain-man beard for her all winter and had no interest of being reminded of her everytime I looked in the mirror, so I shaved it... but, I thought about how funny having a mustache would be and how it would probably cheer me up in those crucial first few days of sobbing over the fucking wretched heart-breaking demoness.
It makes me laugh. Hard.

I'm glad to welcome all of the new people to my friends list, the previous entry got more comments than I've ever had on any two days, so that was pretty neat.
We're out of inside joke territory now, so all you veterans who comment in my journal on a regular basis can slide back into the status quo of BuckyKatt bitching about girls or the low quality of today's graphic design or how Taekwondo isn't nearly brutal enough on me. And, the new folks can see just how redundant my non-camping-story entries are.

In a screwy turn of events yesterday I ended up agreeing to be the Co-Chairman of the Membership Commitee of the Boston Chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild. Its not as big a deal as it seems, but I'm very excited about it. The existance of the Guild means a lot to me and the fact that so many Boston members decided not to show up and volunteer to help this organization (resulting in me becoming a temporary member-- pending a paper ballot-- of the Boston chapter's Leadership Board) kinda makes me want to do my best to promote the interests of the Guild to all of the artists who take their current rights and working conditions for granted.
Plus, I'm all hopped-up on pro-union songs by Billy Bragg, Angelic Upstarts, and Redskins. This is what happens when you have a graphic artist who is madly in love with early 80's UK Oi! and Street Punk.
If any of you have ever heard me speak about design and illustration and my artwork then I'm sure you'll understand how much this means to me.

I bought some new CD's a few days ago:
1. Stiff Little Fingers -- Go For It
"A great album, the studio version of 'Piccadilly Circus' almost made me cry when I was walking home the other day. Its a true story about a man who goes for a walk at night and gets stabbed for no reason by some thugs he doesn't even know. SLF are playing in Boston in August, I strongly urge any of you Boston punks to hit the show if you want to see one of the greatest punk bands of the last 25 years do their thing."
2. Skinny Puppy -- The Greater Wrong of the Right
"I remember some of these songs from the concert a month ago. Its a really good disc. Not as heavy as I thought it would be, much more dancy... but still, kinda excellent. I forgot the fucking name of the song I wanted to get, even after GasMaskBoy and Gumbercules told me which it was."
3. Bjork - Vespertine
"'ve been meaning to buy a Bjork album for about five years. Better late than never."

I think thats all for now, I gotta get some rest. I'll hit the journals tomorrowish...

I have been trying to work out some design issues I'm having with the doggy door and the wine cellar.
Um were you a porn star then? Because you totally would have fit the bill...
On an unrelated note:
I need to do laundry bc I am desperately running out of underwear. These are the times when I wish I would just go commando.
