LAST NIGHT, I REEKED OF AWESOMENESS (and boy-sweat, but mostly awesomeness).
I went dancing at Manray tonight and for the first time in recent memory (probably in a few years) when faced with a girl so interesting and attractive to me that I literally followed her around the club to watch her dance, I did the unthinkable...
I WENT UP AND TALKED TO HER.
last time I was at Manray (for miss SID's birthday) I watched this girl dance for more than half an hour and was completely incapable of even thinking about going to speak to her. last night, after two or three blown opportunities and silly bouts of nervousness, I pretty much just said "fuckit" and told her flat out that I really enjoyed watching her dance and had spent roughly 45 minutes as a spectator. Her reply: "I'm sorry. Did you get bored?"
anyway, before this turns into a long damn, every-detail-anal-jordan-can-remember story, the girl wasn't a stuck-up goddess, she was a bit shy but very friendly. y'never know right? and the cool part is that when the discussion turned to punk rock (as it ALWAYS seems to do with me) I discovered that she had been listneing to the Anti-Nowhere League earlier in the day. Righteous.
Anyway, here's the closer: she broke off our conversation to go dance to Joy Division (and rightfully so), at the end of the night (after a righteous like a motherfucker bout of dancing to "Gave Up" by Nine Inch Nails) she said she wanted to hear the rest of the story I'd started pre-Joy Division, asked if I'd be back next week, and said I should feel free to talk to her.
So... here's the question: is she interested in me but a little shy or does she have a boyfriend and is just interested in talking punk with me? (My two cents: she was talking with a boy for a little bit but I had never seen her with one previously; also she got kinda nervous when I talked to her and apologised for sweating -- which was funny since I was sweating worse and we were both dancing for the last hour).
Anyway, advise me, this is what I pay you people for.
