Today I got up fairly early and went on an hour long bus ride to the next town over (which is much bigger) so that I could buy cheese. I can't go into a supermarket without buying lots of stuff though, all the food is so tempting.. so I spent about $120 today. I bought.. a sweater, a hat, some cheese, some butter, some bread, some bacon and some hash browns. Plus two taxi rides and two bus rides. Hmm that is a lot of money to spend for what I got.
Most days I go out and have an awesome lunch (tang soo yug, rice, 2 types of gimchi, two bowls of soup, coupla other vegetable dishes, and a couple of stuffed peppers) for about $2. So i coulda had like 60 lunches for what I spent today..
I'm listening to "From the Muddy banks of the Wishkah" a Nirvana bootleg. It's.. cool.
My Monday/Wed/Fri routine:
Wake up about 8am, read newspaper, eat some breakfast, check email
9:40am walk to my Gumdo class with Russel who lives close by.
10-11:20ish Gumdo class!awesome workout
11:30 Walk to the community centre and go to the Men's bathouse on the 5th floor. There I partake in the regular hot bath, and the green tea bath, the steam room, and normally one of the two saunas. Because I go when most people are at work it's not normally too busy, it's normally just me and another 6 or 7 other naked guys.
1:20ish leave the bathouse and go out to lunch for 45 minutes or so. Normally tang soo yug or bibimbap or manduguk or something.
2:15ish arrive at school, sit around/prepare for classes.
3:15 start classes
7:40 or 8:50 finish classes.
Go home.
Watch an episode of Alias and read forums and things on the itnernet.
10:30ish go to bed.
Pretty dull, but curiously satisfying at the moment. Taking up Gumdo has made me feel so much more content.
