TFP modeling

I have a curious questions for SG's and SGH's that are freelance models.

How many of you do TFP work? (Trade For Prints)

How often do you do it?

Do you do it mostly with amatuer/novice photographers?

Has always been an interesting subject to me. I find it very difficult to ask someone to take time out of their day just to shoot with me for a hour or so. Don't have any local models near me. So asking someone to travel for images seems a bit much. I do do shootouts which are TFP arranged by an organizer. Some organizers price it to cover the model's time or compensate them themselves. The models do get alit of images from 5 to 8 different photogs, which can expand their portfolio.

I know some seasoned/veteran models who no longer do TFP. They are published in dozens of magazines and such, so don't need to expand their portfolio.

Just curious what others thoughts were on this matter.

I do tfp mostly with good photogs I already know, when I need to shoot something for myself, or with good or famous photogs who intersting to work with me. Honestly I rarely do TFP with amatuer nowadays, simply do not have much time for this. As a freelance model, I will always prefear a payed job rather then tfp, and as modeling is not my only work, I am always lack of time.

I do sometimes  TFP photography. But the quality of the work of the photographer should be no worse than those of the work there are some in my portfolio.  We should also have a general interest in the subject of shooting. Therefore I am  customary to shoot TFP  with experienced photographers.  But I can shoot TFP with my friend even if he is not very experienced. Just because he is my friend. But this does not happen often. For me, modeling is the main job. Therefore, I am more interested in paid shootings.
