So for all of those out there following my adventures, but not too closely here is what's going on with me. I'm finally done with this god awful school. It's been almost a year between here and Alabama and I'm definitely ready to be done.
It's been a really long hard stressful year but in the end I guess I have to try to have faith that everything is going to workout for the best. The graduation is on Thursday the eighth and I'm so excited. I talked to Meghan this week, finally, after not talking to her in almost 6 months and I'm sorta hoping that she may come down for my graduation as my parents will not be attending. I have to say this is one of the hardest things I have done. The school was not really that stressful but when I look back on it I gave up a lot to be here, to be a "230S Hot Boy" and finally to get my crab. It's been a long road and a lot of people came in and out along the way. From our unit in AZ we left with 5 of us together, 3 of us are graduating next week. Since we've gotten to Eglin, we have seen a ton of people come and go including, Hurt, Civis, and a couple of other guys whose names I cannot even remember.
Somewhere along the way I lost Audrey which is a loss that I still feel. I miss going home to her at night of sitting together and watching movies and just hanging out with Gus. I miss driving her to school and picking her up after class. I miss helping her with papers. I just miss Audrey.
So, what's happening now you might want to know. Well, I'm headed back to Arizona for I don't know how long. I got cut from the deployment roster best I can tell. It's a mixed bag. I lost my jobs coming here and I took another year leave of absence from the school now I'm wondering if I'll have a chance to go back next term. For now, I found a place in Goodyear(it's just to the West of Phoenix) with an internet friend and her dog. I'm excited to have a dog to see. So I'll be there until march or so. Audrey and I had always talked about me coming back and living with her until I found a place, well, until she started sleeping with that other dude. Still, this seems like a good deal and Heather is nice, and we'll see. Then after that I don't know.
I have been told I'm going to OCS, which will pretty much mean that I'll have to live in PHX for the next two years. It totally sucks, and I'm really thinking about going active. I have to see what happens but I'm really optimistic about that.
I'm trying to learn Russian on the Rosetta stone stuff on the army knowledge portal. I've really been pretty excited about the whole WMD and RDD portion of the school and I hope I can do something with that. Apparently there is a company in New Mexico that handles all of these sort of things. The try outs are supposed to be pretty difficult and they say it is almost as grueling as Delta selection as far as psychological tests and the like. I'm trying to build a skill set that will help me get into that line of work. It's a pretty small subset of a pretty small field, but we'll see.
