Absolutely bloody amazing! Keep in mind(& I speak under under correction) they're all in their 60's, I think Bruce Dickenson, the vocalist, is the youngest at about 59 & they had the energy of a bunch of rabbits in heat -not to mention the collective musical skill. At the top of their game. One for the bucket list without a doubt & one of my top 2 live shows of the past 20 yrs.Β

@ekka yeah, it was pretty special finally getting to see the old guy play live. I don't think he'll be at it for much longer, though. He's pretty old & seems to be very near completely blind. Also, a life of physical & hard labour(& his fair share of drugs, I presume) has clearly taken it's toll on the guy. He's still quite a chirpy & cheeky chap, though, with a good sense of humour. At least he made quite a bit of money since the doccie about him was made & he was "rediscovered", so he's able to retire -maybe to a nice place somewhere along the South African coast- & be well taken care of. I know his daughter has since married a South African guy who used to do security for him, I think & also lives in Cape Town now. But yes, one for the musical bucket listπŸ˜€

That's awesome :) I'm glad you got the chance to go! There's something just so satisfying about crossing things off your bucket list πŸ˜†
