It's May, time for another blog post. I'm visiting Kansas City (my hometown) to help my friend kick off his feature that I'll be editing (starring one of the breakout stars of a blockbuster movie last year!!).

Oh, and I still hate blogging. But if I stop, I can no longer admire the beautiful women of the Plus-Size Women group! I find this unfair, having...

Saw Grindhouse last night at the Mann Chinese. This would've been awesome enough, but then it turned out Tarantino, Rodriguez, and a bunch of the cast were all there to watch it, too. I know you're supposed to be all cool about this sort of thing in LA (same way when I lived in NYC for 9 years), but I'm sorry, it was fucking rad...

I don't really like/get blogging, but if that's what it takes to be part of the Plus Size Women's group again (half the reason I subscribe to this site! I've been a member under this name and another for years!), I'll make the sacrifice.

LA is big, weird, and full of jobs. So far, ok. I'm reserving judgement for the time being.

LA is good. I am busy. Blogging still sucks.

I wonder if I'm going to hate christmas more and more every year. I mean, I still love the family getting together aspect and, to be honest, the gift exchanging, but I just can't stand the constant stream of ads being forced down my throat with a syrupy xmas chaser. It makes me wanna just buy all my gifts then duck for cover for the...

I'm with you. Christmas is lame, for the most part. Sad thing is Christmas season is getting earlier and earlier each year. I saw some lights around time a couple weeks into November. Soon it'll start everywhere right after Halloween. frown

Just got back from meeting for a few days with my co-writer. Highlights--

-Watched most of the Kevin Smith-doing-college-lecture-circuit movie. Wow, that guy can tell a story. He is one funny guy. I particularly liked when he got on NJ local news posing as a protester against his own movie.

-Watched most of Garfield: the Movie. Am confident that the movie we're writing is about...

Sure--it's about a young guy in New York working a job he hates and how he starts writing a screenplay with this girl and how their relationship progresses from there. Kind of a Annie-Hall-meets-Garden-State sort of feeling. A little different than our first screenplay which has more of a Spy-Kids-meets-Harry-Potter-with-a-dash-of-Rushmore feel. Decided we should write one this time we could actually shoot (without all the explosions and kids and exlploding kids and such).

Sounds pretty interesting.

Keep us updated!

Still trying to settle in here in my new digs in LR. I don't really remember how long it took me to get over the culture shock of moving from KC to NYC, but it was more than a couple weeks, that much i know. All this stuff I have to think about buying... especially a car. Can you think of a worse time (outside...

I can imagine the difference NYC would be to almost anyplace else. It may have taken you weeks to adjust, but it'd take me years. tongue

I hope you enjoy Little Rock. I don't have the time to go down there a lot, but I always have a lot of fun, whether it's the people or the places.

If you have the chance, peek into the SGArkansas group and say hello! Oh, and welcome to Suicide Girls! smile
