last night, kyle quite the band, now we're back together,
misunderstanding didn't understand,
doesn't matter, now we're back together again,
fa-la-la-la-la-laaaa
couldn't split up kato and nash (that's true)
couldn't split up tango and cash
this is our song of exaultant joy because,
we own the game that kicks some ass,
rock the fucking house, and kick some ass
what we gonna do-oooo with all the cash?
smoke hash,
and then we'll thrash,
we'll throw a big ol bash, y'all
and everyone is invited to the bash
and everyone, you're all invited to the bash
there's nothing like a little tenacious d on a friday. big hoopty ups to jack black on lead vocals and kyle gass on lead guitar. fuck me, am i excited to get out of los angeles for two nights and three days in blazing hot palm springs. it looks like it will be a game time decision on whether or not i'll peep the john pizzarelli trio tonight or practice restrained buck-wildness in the aisles and racks of used cd's at amoeba tonight. first off, got to finish my time workin on the chain here at the office and head to the laundr-o-mat to wash some clothes.
shady can't stay all three days, he has to be back in la to work on monday so it looks like we're taking two cars out. with that in mind, i stayed up too late last night making a tape to take with us on the trip because we'll be taking too cars and i figure dambae will want to take his car and james only has a tape deck in his ride. that probably made sense to only me. i like making musical sojourns, this one goes from swing to bop to bebop to hifi dub lounge to progressive and concludes with some hard edged techno. i don't like making tapes with progressive shit but since i'll be listening to it in shady's car, i thought i should throw the nigga a bone. its not my best work, but it will have to suffice. the playlist....
big bad voodoo daddy ~ you & me & the bottle makes three tonite
harry connick jr ~ just kiss me
nina simone ~ mood indigo
sarah vaughn ~ lullaby of birdland
miles davis ~ blue in green
charlie parker ~ relaxing with lee, blues for alice
oscar peterson ~ the bach suite: allegro
john coltrane ~ mr. day
nicola conte ~ arabesque
st. germain ~ pont des arts
thievery corporation ~ 38, 45
blue ~ dogs deluxe
gus gus ~ believe
furry phreaks ~ soothe
crystal method ~ jaded
orbital ~ much ado about nothing left
pills ~ rock me
of course, the problem with making a tape is the aftermath. there's fucking cd's strewn all over my apartment. i almost cracked my skull against my bed frame after i slipped on a cd cover this morning when i climbed out of bed. i actually would like to go back and change the placement of a song or two or make a substitution but, as mamet wrote, "the only second chance in life is the chance to make the same mistake twice."

I didn't quite understand your post. It was kind of broken up. What did you mean?
