why won't this day end? it feels like i've been here for days. there's so much going on in my head that i haven't been able to commit many words to the page so i'm just sitting here making my fingers busy and counting the minutes till i can get the fuck out of dodge. i get headaches about as frequently as los angeles gets rain (it rained yesterday, btw) but i can feel one creeping in after a day of answering phone call after phone call. its about time for a dose of thomas jefferson's favorite headache remedy.
yesterday's journal entry was a review of a jazz show that i caught on saturday nite. all of the musicians were brilliant but i think that the guitarist definitely shined the brightest that evening. he had a beautiful gibson guitar, i think it was a les paul model. the crowd fell in love with his solos and it amused me to see him puff up his chest a little and scan the audience for reactions. i think he saw me laughing at one point and gave me a little smirk. there's nothing like a healthy dose of live music to elevate one's soul. and i was fortunate enough to have some delightful company along for the ride. here's hoping that i can see her and her blue eyes again soon.
there's lots to do in the coming weeks. work-wise there's a ton of crap that needs to be attended to for the big porn show. i'm traveling to the east coast to spend christmas with the 'rents from tuesday till sunday. i think i'm going to vegas for at least a day the following weekend to meet up with a friend from chicago who'll be there for a bachelor party. and the week after that is the big porn show. some how i've got to coordinate with shifty and pol pot on a good time to go to joshua tree and get crazy and bark at the moon with some fun-guys (hehe). but fuck all that, i just want to go back to my little apartment and chill the fuck out. even listening to a little norah jones isn't doing much to soothe me. either that or hit the gym, maybe pumping a few hundred pounds of iron will take the edge off.
