*ugh* this strawberry yogurt is making me gag. i'm in the process of forcing it down my throat because it's all i got to eat right now and i don't think a lunch break is in the mix. this fucking virus i have is persistent, its refused to subside even though i took yesterday afternoon off and wrapped myself up in blankies and guzzled juice and tea. making matters worse is the pandemonium that is my current place of employment and all that my vocation entails. on top of the fifty some odd letters that i had to post, the phone's been blowing up and i had a 2 hour legislative conference call in the middle of the day.
here's hoping that some miracle cure comes along in the next six or seven hours. shady got word to me earlier today that we're on some vip/artificial self-esteem/guest list for a hip-hop event tonite and i positively want to go and have a somewhat respectable groove to throw down on the dance floor. i may have to rock the stoli and red bull. watch out kiddies!
aside from recovery on the agenda, methinks i have a fairly full weekend. with any luck i can have someone accompany me tomorrow nite to a jazz spot. there'll be a tribute to my favorite bass player, ray brown, who passed away a few months ago. playing the in 4 piece tribute band are the co-leaders of my favorite large ensemble, the clayton-hamilton jazz orchestra. sunday nite is trainwreck. hopefully jack black will make another appearance and rock-rock-rock the mic.
i hope this weekend finds you in good spirits!
