the big porn defender show is going on the road once again. i'm headed for capitol hill on sunday for another action packed week full of power lunches and legislative advocacy. this type of stuff really is the best part of my job, the actual moments when preparation and organization pay off in measureable results. one of the more important things that i'll be doing his meeting with a congressional staffer who's trying to draft a bill that addresses digital rights management and the digital millenium copyright act. say that five times fast and i'll give you a cookie. it's interesting stuff but sweating out the details with all these brainy congressional staff makes my head spin sometimes.
there's also a video game bill that needs to be addressed and defeated while i'm in dc. there was a woman representing one of those "family values" interest groups on television the other day championing their cause. i love it when they say, "i'm not in favor of censorship... BUT..." i hate to break it to you lady but your cause is on the "this shit won't work" side of the constitutional spectrum.
the big video game convention is going on in downtown LA this week and because i work so closely in many issues with the gaming industry, i have to leave work early this afternoon and check it out. shifty's last law school exam is this morning so i'm going to swing by his place to get lit before playing what i anticipate to be a bunch of kick ass video games. yup, i'm leaving work early on a friday afternoon AND getting stoned with my friend AND playing video games AND getting paid to do it. i guess you win some and you lose some. anybody else feel like a winner? hehe
unfortunately the lakers don't feel like winners. they got bounced from the playoffs and sent home early by the san antonio spurs. of course, you can't expect a team to advance to the western conference finals after losing two of their 8-man rotation to injury. maybe a team in the east could do it but the western conference is just too damn strong. so congrats to tim duncan and the spurs. that mofo left no doubt in my mind that he's the league mvp.
despite the poor showing by the lakers yesterday i still managed to have myself a nice evening. former suicidegirl melissa stoped by the crib and i cooked up a pretty damn good tri-tip roast. it really upset me that she got kicked off the site but i'm very glad to see that she's doing well. following dinner i made a quick stop by the gym because melissa said i have a "perfect" body and i suddenly felt all this pressure to maintain. following the gym i hopped over to the chinese theater to rally with the fun factory otherwise known as SGLA and caught the matrix: reloaded. go see it, this movie rules. big movies on a big screen with big sound deserves to be seen with an enthusiastic audience.
i best get back to work. i hope everybody has a sticky green weekend! and i hope this makes you smile...
Little Timmy was in the garden filling in a hole when his neighbour peered over the fence. Interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was up to, he politely asked, "What are you up to there, Timmy?" "My goldfish died," replied Timmy tearfully, without looking up, "and I've just buried him." The neighbour was concerned, "That's an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isn't it?" Tim patted down the last heap of earth then replied, "That's because he's inside your fucking cat."

Two rednecks from Tennessee walk into a bar. They sit down at the bar drinking their brews and talking about cattle prices. Suddenly a woman at a table behind them, who had been eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute, it becomes apparent that the lady is choking. The rednecks turn and look at the choking lady. One redneck asked the lady, "Kin ya swaller?" The woman shook her head. The other redneck asked, "Kin ya breathe?" The woman, beginning to turn a little blue, shook her head. The first redneck walked over to the lady, lifted up the back of her skirt, pulled down her panties and ran his tongue from the back of her thigh up to the small of her back! This shocked the woman into a violent spasm, the obstruction flew out of her mouth and she began to breathe again. The redneck walked back to the bar and took a drink of his beer. His buddy said, "Ya know, I'd heard about that there Hind Lick Maneuver, but I never seen anybody actually do it!"
