All friends are real. Some just like to overinflate the appearance of their relationships. It makes those who don't have any good friends feel like they have great friends. It's quite often because they actually do feel that their friendship with the you is stronger than it is because a large portion of their contact with you is when they're drunk and feeling like "you gyus are mybste frends!!!" Combine the euphoric state they create for themselves when talking to you after a bad day with the hightened sense of togetherness, and you have a perfect recipe for overinflated friendships.

That's not how everyone is though. Just a lot of them. No matter what, it still doesn't mean you can't enjoy their time when it's there. Just don't make yourself require it.
