I have been dreaming a lot! This is unusual for me. Joe is in my dreams a lot...
I dreamt I was sitting on top of the roof of a house, when suddenly I heard a 'whoosh!', like the sound of a lot of air passing me very quickly but quietly. Then I realized I was very lucky because a tree had fallen from the left of me and gone throught the roof I was sitting on and the roof of the house next to me. I got down quickly to check on the people in both houses and it was a trip to see a tree lying in the middle of the homes and the sky up above. They all said it was a very loud sound that they had heard and I wondered why it would have been so quiet from up above. One person was knocked out and lying on his back. A big girl who turned into a big guy by the end of the dream. He was ok, he woke up and I helped him downstairs to hang out at the Ken, my friend Wes' house. He said he was through with all the lameness upstairs and wanted a drink...anyway, he left and thats all I remember.
On a differrent subject, I recently emailed my daughter's dad to ask him if he could take our daughter for a week that she would normally be with me so that I could fly over and help with Tsunami relief a.s.a.p. ... These were some of his responses.
"You should stay here and be a parent and do that some other time!"
"This would be a completely different situation if this is what you did for a living. If you worked as a full time nurse, and you often left to help out "worldly disasters", but you don't. Where was your time for all the other disasters??"
" This is for Kiley? I thought she was at your place last
night? I wasn't aware that she left the country and was involved in a
horrible accident? I do think this is very noble of you to exercise
your
nursing skills, but poor timing. Most people that run off to offer
assistance usually have their other responsibilities taken care of.
They
don't try to pawn off their parenting responsibilities. Disasters
happen
everyday, and so I am sure you will have plenty of opportunities to
help. Anyone with a good heart would know that!"
And so on. He used to be a cool guy but now he's narrowminded, rule-orented and bitter. What a bummer.
