I dreamt of loading the semi with re-bar and metal dome parts all night. It was a long and hard night of work!
Anyway, I'm home.
Burning Man was a totally different experience this year. We finally completed our art piece by Friday night before the burn. It was beautiful. The night of the burn was incredible. Miguel and I watched the sunrise from the Temple of Stars and that was an incredible experience. There was complete silence as the sun rose, even though there were hundreds of people around us. We got some amazing pictures.
The Temple of Stars was the most BEAUTIFUL temple I have ever seen in my life.
And then it BURNED!!
Did I mention how much work we did there!?
I still haven't showered and we got home yesterday!
Hey, when you have only had one shower in 2 weeks, what does one night matter? And anyway, I love playa hair the best.
So Miguel and I had a 15 ft dome for a home for the last two weeks and have decided to start looking for property to build a dome on in the furture. Probably on one of the nearby islands where we can still easily work in Seattle. We are going to build a home that uses all natural energy from the sun and wind and grow our own food. We're pretty serious about it and I'm pretty excited at our new plans. We'll probably still keep his Art studio in town as well. But anyway, this will all be a while from now.
We are going to focus on expanding our arts focus for a while and get some of our last photo project into gallery shows soon. Will be updatiing on locations for anybody who would like to come. Also, if anybody has any good venues to let us know about, get in touch.
