Hey...stopped by to wish you a happy birthday. Sorry to hear that life has been difficult. Hope you're doing better.
magni:
Incredible. This is a life changing time for you and you will be working your ass off.

Give it time.

today was not a good day. i had a panic attack on the way to work. its been months since i've had one. then about an hour after i got to work my buddy i've known since kindergarten called to say that his grandmother died. i've known her for over twenty years. i'm sad.
magni:
Thats terrible! Panic attacks are no fun...I hope you are cool now. frown
_sarah_:
Awww. frown

I was just about to write to you to let you know I got the card yesterday. Thank you. smile I made an appointment for her to go in on Monday. I'll have to bring her after New Year's, since my holiday week has become a gauntlet. Is that okay?

so the party went very well. no weirdness.

the only weirdness that i was expecting and have dealt with in the past isn't even that bad, its just uncomfortable. my ex started hanging out with her roommates friend after i moved out, she also dated and broke up with one of these friends. i have met these people over time and had to overcome the...

my exgirlfriend is throwing me a birthday party at her house on saturday. i am looking forward to it. but its also weird because, well, she is my exgirlfriend. it will be a mix of both her friends and my friends and some mutual friends. so it will be interesting. i am slightly apprehensive, yet still looking foreward to it mostly because i have...

Your cat's name is Picasso? Awww. I can't wait to see him!

The girl hasn't been named yet, so you're free to pick something. I avoided naming her so I wouldn't get attached or screw her up when someone took her.

I'll email my address.

i had a wonderful and self servingly mean saturday night. way back when, i spent a year in college. my roomate's brother went to a school about thirty minutes away from ours. he was a senior and we were freshmen so his scene was a lot more developed and cool. long story short this dude was and is one of the worst people i know....

I'm so happy you can take the kitten! She's so adorable and cuddly. You will love her. smile

I can't make it to Chicago until after Christmas, so we can figure out a good time over the next couple of weeks. I can come on weekdays, too, so we aren't limited to weekends. I set my own work schedule, so I'm pretty flexible to your needs.

I also want to make sure she has her shots, flea prevention, and deworming first. I don't want your kitty to get sick. That's another reason I want to wait a bit. She'll be well-cared for until then. I love kitties (and have one of my own).
_sarah_:
Well, that's very sweet of you. It's going to be about $50. I don't mind shouldering the cost, since I want her to be in good health, but it's very kind of you to offer to reimburse me. I appreciate it. If Christmas is sucking your money the way it does mine, I can wait a while. It's not an immediate need.

I'm sorry to hear about your breakup. I hate losing pets due to moving/breaking up. I've had some wonderful cats and dogs in my past thanks to roommates and boyfriends.

If you're ever in this area, you need to hang out with my cat, Gomez. He's a total cuddleslut, and he does tricks and plays fetch. smile He's my baby. I've had him since 1998 (he was a stray kitten). I can't imagine life without him. I miss him when I go on trips. blush

Hi, thanks for the compliment on my card! I've always liked that balance between the sweet and the grotesque. If you like, I could send you some ordering info. biggrin Cheers!

i knew that this would happen. in '02/'03 i spent 12 of those 24 months laid off. its the world of commercial construction durning a recession. anyway, during that time (always in the gloomy winter) there is a lot of "what the fuck am i doing with my life?" internal dialogue. so, i decided that i want to go back to school. if its to...

fukin' a do i need to get a girlfriend or go on a date or something, anything. my life is in this pitiful state of suspended animation that is stifilng and upsetting. i know that drunkenly typing away at 1:45 in the morning isn't the best way to change things, but doing this makes it hurt and bother me less so whatever gets me through...

had to work late again. today the new guy at work ran a furniture cart into a steel railing on a set of stairs in the lobby of a building we are working in. unfortunately, the railing had a piece of tempered glass attached to it. the glass shattered from the impact and showered down into the lobby of the building. since the building is...

i ahd to work late tonight. since i am paid hourly i was rewarded handsomely for it, so it wasn't that big a deal. what really was a big deal was that my boss's boss came onto the job site. he's a real dick and in general i dislike him. again, that part is not that big a deal. what is a big deal is...

I always think about that, too, especially when I'm driving along the lake this time of year and in the winter.

During the summer, I can feel it pressing against the shore, as if it wants to chuckle and say, "Soon. Very soon." I know that's a bit macabre, but that lake is alive. It's downright creepy most of the year.

Your cats are adorable!

Thanks so much for the positive comments...I too have a weakness for reading about drug use. I can't explain what it is...am I living vicariously through the character? Does it feel like gossip? Or validation? Meh. Who can say?

Sorry about your boss. I'm scared of my boss, too...I've been convinced lately that he's been making my life difficult so that I'll quit and he won't have to fire me...or something...but I did forget my apron awhile ago and he didn't make me take two weeks off. confused

Just look useful. Constantly. That's always the best thing. smile
